• Lekhra won a gold medal in 10m air rifle SH1 category at tokyo Paralympics 2020 held in Tokyo, japan.

• She became the first woman to win a gold medal in Paralympic from India.

Early Life

• Avni was born on 8th November 2001 in Jaipur city, Rajasthan.

• She completed her schooling from jaipur and is currently studying law in Rajasthan, India. 

• At the Age of 11 she got a car accident in which her lower body got paralyzed caused by spinal injury and disease(paraplegia). 

• After the accident she discouraged, but with her father's encouragement to join sports. She started archery training and got passionate in shooting.
